Building Maintenance Custodian

Our membership center, summer camp, school-aged and other programs provides everyone with a safe place to learn, play and grow. Summary We are seeking a Building Maintenance professional to join our team at the Schuylkill YMCA. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. Work days/hours can be discussed. Currently Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 5:30-11:30 am. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the facility. Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained for member use. Conduct custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and restroom sanitation. Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Respond to maintenance requests from staff promptly and efficiently. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Requirements Proven experience in building maintenance or custodial services. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance work. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
