Job Description

MACHINE CLEANER
Role Summary Hands-on role cleaning and maintaining food production machines You will take apart equipment, clean and sanitize it, then reassemble it correctly Work happens in a food manufacturing environment with strict hygiene rules (GMP) Physically active role requiring lifting, standing, and working with tools Ideal for candidates with basic mechanical skills + production experience 🔹 Key Responsibilities Disassemble and reassemble production equipment (pumps, conveyors, belts, etc.) Deep clean and sanitize machines to prevent contamination Follow strict food safety standards (GMP) Use hand tools and power tools safely Support maintenance and production teams as needed Perform general labor tasks (lifting, line work, moving materials) Operate material handling equipment if required Communicate with team to coordinate cleaning schedules Adapt to changing priorities and cleaning procedures 🔹 Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable) Basic mechanical aptitude (must pass internal test) Experience using hand tools / power tools Ability to: Disassemble and reassemble equipment Lift up to 75 lbs (regularly ~25 lbs) Stand/walk for long hours Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety rules English proficiency (read/write/speak) Comfortable working in: Dirty environment Food production setting Understanding or willingness to follow GMP (food safety standards) 🔹 Nice-to-Have Skills Experience in: Food manufacturing Production / general labor / line work Familiarity with conveyors, pumps, or industrial machines Experience with forklifts or material handling equipment Handling allergen environments (nuts, dairy, etc.) 🔹 Experience Level Guidance 6 months - 3 years in: Manufacturing / production / warehouse / sanitation roles Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude can be considered 🔹 Success Indicators (6-12 Months) Can independently disassemble and reassemble machines correctly Maintains high cleanliness and sanitation standards consistently Follows GMP without errors or violations Works efficiently across shifts without supervision Zero or minimal safety incidents

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
