Plant Helper/ Operator

Edge Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Plant Helper / Operator to support a 3-person crew in a manufacturing environment. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 12 weeks, with an immediate start available. Position Overview The Plant Helper / Operator will assist with general housekeeping, monitoring the control room, and supporting daily plant operations as needed. This role is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working in an industrial setting and can maintain strong attention to safety and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean work environment Monitor control room operations and report any issues Perform general labor and production support tasks Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Work collaboratively with plant personnel and crew members Support plant operations during scheduled shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility and may involve exposure to: Chemicals, fumes, dust, and industrial noise Hot, cold, and varying environmental conditions Confined spaces and elevated work areas Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial environment. Physical Requirements Qualified candidates must be able to: Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Stand and move continuously throughout a 12-hour shift Climb stairs, ladders, and platforms up to 140 feet Work in confined spaces and awkward positions when necessary Safely operate tools and equipment with good manual dexterity Additional Requirements Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Must be clean-shaven where respirator use is required to ensure proper OSHA-compliant seal Must successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and physical examination prior to hire

Pay & Schedule Pay Rate:

$24.50/hour

Night Shift Differential:

Additional $1.50/hour for hours worked on nights

Schedule:

12-hour rotating shifts on a 4-week rotation 4 weeks on day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 4 weeks on night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Built-in overtime included every pay period Week 1: 3 shifts (36 hours) Week 2: 4 shifts (48 hours) Location Richburg, South Carolina (Onsite Position)

Pay:
