Custodian

HOURS:

Monday-Friday 12pm-5pm (25 hours per week) Janitorial Responsibilities day center facility (i.e. cleaning restrooms, banquet hall and day service common areas etc.) Experience in Housekeeping, Janitorial services, Custodial, commercial cleaning industry is a big plus

Job Duties:

• Ability to attend work on time and complete required shift assignments
• Ability to present a clean and neat appearance
• Clean and restock restrooms and break rooms
• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning kitchen area and refrigerators and freezers.
• Empty trash from bathrooms and common areas
• Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishing following established policies, procedures, and schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
• Cleaning windows and door glasses
• Sanitize all surfaces
• Restocking restrooms and wash areas
• Detail the cafeteria/ banquet room daily and frequently, ensuring a guest/client-ready, visible appearance at all times
• Clean floors
• Dust furniture, walls, baseboard, and polish windows
• Gather and empty trash and replace trash bags
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, and reach for extended periods of time
• Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement
• Report any necessary lighting, plumbing, electrical, and equipment repairs to supervisor
• Ability to be kind, polite, positive toward persons supported, family members, guests and fellow employees using the facility
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task
• Ability to work well with others and cooperate as a member of a team
• Other cleaning duties as needed or required
• Complete all training requirements as assigned

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen
