Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve surface quality Handle industrial cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting large areas efficiently Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention Support custodial operations by organizing cleaning supplies and ensuring equipment is well-maintained and ready for use Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning procedures Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and extractors safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout shifts Knowledge of safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus; residential painting or industrial cleaning experience is beneficial Join us in creating clean, safe environments that make a difference every day!
