(The essence of the job) The Part Time Custodian is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe, and well-maintained. This includes cleaning rehearsal rooms, common areas, restrooms, and occasionally assisting with light maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and understands the importance of a clean and welcoming space for our clients.

OUTCOMES

(What must get done and how will we measure success) Clean and sanitize restrooms, lobby, common areas, and assist in cleaning rehearsal rooms as needed Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed throughout the facility Empty trash and recycling bins regularly Restock restroom supplies and studio amenities Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained Follow studio safety and cleaning protocols, especially for shared equipment Maintain a clean working environment at all times and in all areas

Requirements:

CRITICAL

Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, especially in a commercial building Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage Ability to communicate effectively Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

CULTURAL

Strong ability to work with people and form relationships Open to continuous learning in a dynamic environment, willingness to pivot as business needs shift Ability to remain calm in difficult and/or complex situations and maintain an action oriented, problem-solving mindset Demonstrate pride and ownership in your work

PHYSICAL

Frequent moving pushing or lifting equipment and materials up to 30 lbs. Frequent walking throughout campus but may remain stationary for long periods of time Frequent use of manual dexterity Ability to reach, grasp, walk, bend, or stand for extended periods Frequent exposure to chemicals Occasional exposure to loud music, fog, and lasers In addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible.
