Public Space Attendant -
Momotaro, Middleman, Alla Vita Job Purpose:
Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and organization of all guest-facing public areas throughout restaurant service.

Middleman General Manager Pay Range:
$18-$20 per hour
General Description:
The Public Space Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and organization of all guest-facing public areas throughout restaurant service. This position ensures that restrooms, hallways, entryways, and outdoor entrances remain clean, stocked, safe, and welcoming at all times. The Public Space Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the facility.
Specific Tasks:
Conduct routine inspections of all public spaces throughout service hours. Clean, sanitize, and restock guest restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, dispensers, and fixtures. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hallways, corridors, and common areas. Ensure interior entryways, vestibules, and waiting areas remain clean, organized, and free of debris. Sweep, clean, and maintain outdoor front entrances, walkways, and guest access areas. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed throughout public spaces. Promptly address spills, accidents, and other cleanliness or safety concerns. Monitor and replenish restroom supplies, including soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other guest amenities. Report maintenance issues, repairs, or safety hazards to management promptly. Assist with special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning assignments as directed. Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained, stored, and used according to company standards.
Sanitation and Safety:
Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures. Handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely and according to manufacturer instructions. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain professional appearance, uniform standards, and grooming requirements. Uniform for this role will be black slacks, black dress shirt, and black shoes (not provided by Boka) Work cooperatively with restaurant management and team members to ensure an exceptional guest environment.
Public Spaces Include:
Guest restrooms Employee restrooms and hallway Hallways and corridors Interior entryways and vestibules Outdoor front entrances and immediate guest access areas Waiting and reception areas Other guest-facing common areas as assigned This role requires scheduling flexibility to support operational needs and ensure public spaces are maintained throughout all service periods.
Physical Requirements:
Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces Ability to bear exposure to hot and cold environments
