Job Description

Overview The Family Crisis Center (FCC) Maintenance Associate is responsible for general upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repairs of FCC facilities, which include the emergency shelter, transitional housing complex, administrative office, and thrift store. This position helps ensure that agency facilities and vehicle are safe, well-maintained, and presents a welcoming environments for clients, staff, volunteers, customers and other guests. This position must exercise some discretion and independent judgment in the execution of these duties to include making appropriate recommendations to organizational leadership for review and approval.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance:
  • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance such as repair/replace locks, fix damaged walls, replace light bulbs, change AC filters etc.
  • Install appliances and other equipment as needed.
  • Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as trash pickup and removal to include in parking areas, along the fences and in common areas.
  • Inspect and/or troubleshoot various equipment and safety systems to determine areas that need attention, preventative maintenance, or repairs.
  • Collaborate with a team of workers and other trades professionals during renovations and facility expansions.
  • Provide timely reports to supervisor regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.
  • Conduct regular inspections.
  • Ensure regular maintenance and registration is performed on agency vehicle.
  • Other maintenance related duties as required or needed by agency.
