Shop Porter - Purdy Volkswagen and Purdy Mazda of BCS Bryan, TX Shop Porter - Purdy Volkswagen and Purdy Mazda of BCS Our dealerships have an outstanding opportunity for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Shop Porter. The Shop Porter supports the service department by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while assisting technicians and service personnel with vehicle movement and general shop duties. Responsibilities Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and service areas Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service shop, drive lanes, and surrounding areas Assist with vehicle staging, parking, and retrieval Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles as needed Remove trash and debris from work areas and customer areas Transport vehicles to and from designated locations Assist technicians and service advisors with routine support tasks Monitor and maintain shop supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed Keep service equipment and work areas clean and orderly Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned Requirements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork are essential for success in this role. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED preferred Previous automotive, porter, or service department experience preferred Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
