Shop Manager :

As a registered plumbing apprentice, you will be trained on the job to conduct sewer & drain cleaning using commercial cable machines. After training & getting approved for the Drain Cleaner Registration, you will be expected to complete drain cleaning jobs on your own. When you are not out on drain cleaning jobs, you will serve as Shop Manager. This includes receiving deliveries, stocking parts in the warehouse, keeping the shop organized & tidy, clearing unused parts off of trucks and some light truck & machine maintenance.

Experience:

No plumbing experience is required, but some experience with construction or maintenance is a bonus.

Licenses:

Active Texas driver's license with no history of DUI or reckless driving required. Plumbing Apprentice Registration required, but you can complete on the first day of the job if you don't have an apprentice card yet. You will be expected to obtain the Drain Cleaner Registration within 90 days of hire.

Skills required:

Must be able to drive, lift & operate machinery over 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Must be able to work independently, communicate clearly & professionally with customers, use simple apps on a smart phone and have a strong desire to learn & receive constructive feedback. This job is very well suited to someone who is looking to build a long-term career in plumbing.
