Job Description

Description:
As part of the Open Road Collision group DBA 1st Choice Collision, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality collision repair services with exceptional customer care. Our team is dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition while making the repair process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers. We're currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Porter. The Porter supports daily operations within the collision center by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. This role is responsible for vehicle movement, lot organization, and general facility upkeep to ensure a safe and professional environment for technicians, staff, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Move vehicles between the lot, shop, paint area, and staging/delivery zones Maintain organization of the vehicle lot, ensuring keys and vehicles are properly tracked Assist with vehicle intake and delivery preparation, including light cleaning and staging Keep the shop, lot, and surrounding areas clean and free of debris and hazards Dispose of trash, parts, and materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines Support technicians and estimators with minor tasks (e.g., parts pickup, vehicle positioning) Perform basic vehicle checks such as battery jump-starts, fuel levels, and tire pressure Assist with washing vehicles before and after repairs, as needed Maintain cleanliness of customer-facing areas, including entrances and parking areas Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials Why Work With Us? Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience in auto detailing or related field a plus Ability to use detailing tools, power buffers, vacuums, and cleaning chemicals safely Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record OpenRoad is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
