Job Description

Overview The Changeover Crew staff member is an on-call, per-event employee who will work in the areas of room sets and arena conversions at the American Bank Center. This role will pay an hourly rate of $12.00-$15.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until August 14, 2026. Responsibilities Participate in all aspects of the conversion process for events. Set up and tear down including risers, staging, basketball floor, chairs, tables, pipe and drape, and other items as needed for events at the facility. Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery, and skirting. Responding to promoters'/clients' needs as directed by the onsite building manager. Assist, when necessary, with pre/post event cleaning, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, and carpet cleaning. Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, entrances, and the event plaza. Perform painting, patching, and other conversion-related upkeep/repairs. Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment. Work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results. Actively care for all arena equipment and property by storing, cleaning, and maintaining changeover equipment. Respond to and resolve set-up issues promptly as directed by fellow staff and management. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Experience in public facilities highly preferred. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, overnight, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis. Perform other duties as assigned.
