Experience:

Valid Driver's License Requirements:

Must have current State and ANSI approved Food Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain in 30 days of hire Strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures; exposure to dust, toxic chemical, and materials; slippery and uneven walking surfaces; work on ladders; work alone. Maintain emotional control under stress. Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job. Lifts/carries 10-45 pounds frequently, 45-60 pounds occasionally, more than 60 pounds infrequently with assistance. Pushing/pulling 10-60 pounds sporadically. Climbs ladders, work in high places, work in cramped quarters and under buildings and distinguish primary colors. Works in inclement weather. Demanding physical conditions. Must be able to work with potentially hazardous materials in a safe manner and safely perform required duties in potentially hazardous environments.

Duties:

Keeps the school cafeteria neat and clean. Maintains a program of preventive maintenance to ensure the comfort, health, and safety of students and staff. Assumes the responsibility of opening and closing the building each school day. Work cooperatively with other team members at all times; provide customer service with a friendly and professional dining experience. Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open, and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy. Observe and inform supervisor of safety hazards. Inspects machines and equipment for safety hazards. Develops and maintains a cleaning schedule that will include the cleaning of floors, facilities, windows, furniture, and equipment. Sweeps cafeteria daily and dust furniture, clean windows and sills. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash. Makes minor cafeteria repairs as needed and reports major repairs needed to the maintenance supervisor or principal. Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and orders additional supplies as needed. Moves furniture or equipment within the cafeteria as directed by the supervisor or principal. Attends in-service meetings and other appropriate meetings. Keeps informed of and complies with local, state and district policies and regulations concerning primary job functions. Strip and wax floors. Complete annual continuing education requirements. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Demonstrates punctuality, reliability, integrity, cooperation and efficient use of time in the performance of assigned duties. This position requires to be available to work flexible hours, which may include early morning or afternoon hours to include but not limited to catering assignments. All personnel is subject to assignment and reassignment when determine it is in the best interest of the district. Perform other appropriate duties, as assigned.
