Primary Purpose:

The primary duty of this position is to make sure that all the custodial duties are carried out by all custodians in order to maintain a clean and safe school.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification Requirements High School Diploma/equivalent or higher Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License Class C 5 years' experience as Campus Custodian Special Knowledge/Skills Able to lift up to 20-100 lbs. Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written) with district employees, parents, students and the public

Responsibilities:

Assists in scheduling and training custodial staff. Performs, as needed, all duties identified on the custodians job description. Monitors the timecards of all assigned custodial employees. Maintains an inventory and recommends purchase of suitable supplies, tools, and equipment. Assists in evaluating the performance of the custodial staff. Demonstrates punctuality and dependability on the job. Works and cooperates with fellow workers. Performs special duties for teachers and others as directed by the Campus Administrator. Repairs light switches, fuses, air conditioners, stopped-up sinks/commodes, and boilers. Orders and maintains an inventory of custodial supplies and materials. Performs regular inspections of building conditions and reports to principal or supervisor. Is constantly alert to situations that might be hazardous and take steps to report and correct them. Assumes responsibility for care and condition of equipment and/or buildings. Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the Fabens ISD safety program. Supports the goals and objectives of the school district and follows all district policies. Demonstrates the ability to attend work on a regular and routine basis to avoid disruption to district Performs any other duties assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
