Job Description

Kennel Technician We are seeking a mature, reliable individual to join our dog rescue team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and become an important part of our organization. This work is for the animals. We are looking for someone who goes above and beyond to provide excellent care for the dogs—not just someone looking for a job. If you are an over the top dog lover, this position is for you.
Job Duties Include:
Cleaning kennel runs and indoor/outdoor areas Deep cleaning and disinfecting using proper protocols Power washing play yards and facility areas Bathing dogs and trimming/clipping nails as needed Monitoring dogs' overall health, behavior, and well-being Heavy lifting (handling dogs, supplies, and equipment) Assisting with daily animal care and rescue tasks as needed
Requirements:
Preferably not a high school or college student (seeking a mature, dependable individual) Willing to work hard in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Eager to take on tasks others may not want to do, including messy and labor-intensive work Must be able to follow directions, routines, and protocols Reliable transportation is required Dependable and flexible; ability to cover shifts when others call in is a plus Willingness to learn and grow within our organization
Schedule:
Start off as part-time, with the opportunity to increase hours based on performance and availability.
Shifts:
7:00 AM-12:00 PM and 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Open 7 days a week and on holidays Ability to work both AM and PM shifts strongly preferred Flexibility to occasionally cover shifts on short notice is a plus.
Ideal Candidate:
Takes initiative and can work independently Comfortable handling dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments Detail-oriented with cleaning and sanitation Must have a reliable car, punctual, have good time management, and work well with others. Passionate about animal welfare and the behind-the-scenes grunt work that makes rescue possible Upon hiring the candidate will be on a 2 week probation period to determine the compatibility with our team and the tasks expected of them.
