Job Description
Bayes Achievement Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. This position plays an important role in helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Bayes Achievement Center serves children and young adults with special needs and behavioral challenges. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of a clean facility, and is committed to supporting the overall mission of our program. Job Responsibilities The Custodian will be responsible for performing daily cleaning and facility upkeep duties, including but not limited to: Cleaning classrooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and other assigned areas Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces Emptying trash and replacing liners Restocking restroom and cleaning supplies as needed Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas throughout the facility Assisting with maintaining a safe, organized, and presentable environment Reporting maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate supervisor Following cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and facility expectations Assisting with other duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the program Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred Ability to work independently and stay on task Strong attention to detail Dependability and good attendance Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner Professional and respectful communication with staff and students Ability to lift, carry, bend, stand, walk, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the workday Willingness to work in an environment serving students with special needs and behavioral challenges Schedule and Pay Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM $18.25 per hour Why Join Bayes Achievement Center?
