Supervises a small group of custodians. About the Department and/or College Major/Essential Functions 1) Floor & Carpet Care (30%) Spot-clean spills promptly; sweep/dust mop, wet mop, and vacuum assigned zones. Operate floor-care equipment (vacuums, autoscrubbers, extractors, burnishers) safely and per operating procedures. Report floor damage or safety hazards (wet floors, trip risks) and post signage as required. 2) Restroom Sanitation & Replenishment (25%) Clean/disinfect sinks, toilets/urinals, partitions, mirrors, and floors to departmental standards. Restock paper goods, soap, and supplies; empty trash/liners and maintain restroom logs. Address high-traffic restrooms throughout the day to maintain readiness. 3) Glass, Surfaces & Fixtures (15%) Clean interior/exterior glass (doors, windows) and tabletops; wipe/disinfect high-touch points. Clean and sanitize water fountains/refill stations and surrounding surfaces. Maintain a tidy, welcoming appearance in public spaces and entries. 4) Waste, Recycling & Outdoor Areas (15%) Empty, clean, and reline trash cans; transport waste to designated collection points. Support recycling routes and separation per building standards. Required Qualifications Requires three years experience in building custodial and maintenance work. Preferred Qualifications Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment.
