Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the comfort and well-being of staff, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellence in facilities maintenance. Duties Hours for this position 7:00am to 5:30pm Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces Handle janitorial responsibilities for restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas ensuring they meet health and safety standards Assist with industrial cleaning projects that may involve high-pressure washing or specialized cleaning equipment Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing, or structural issues Use commercial cleaning tools and supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Maintain cleanliness logs and report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns promptly Qualifications Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing Experience with commercial or industrial cleaning environments preferred Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and floor scrubbers safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary Join us in creating a clean and safe environment where everyone can thrive!
