Janitorial Worker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations of our organization through effective custodial practices. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure high-quality appearance and safety. Carry out residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic standards. Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Execute commercial and industrial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring supplies are stocked as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively. Perform porter duties when required, including moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance. Skills Strong custodial skills with experience in both commercial and industrial cleaning environments. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus. Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to effectively report issues or collaborate with others. Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
