Compensation:

$12 - $13.50/hr Position Overview Janitorial Staff play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, clients, and venue personnel before, during, and after events. This position requires individuals who take pride in their work, can perform physical labor in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and maintain assigned venue areas including concourses, restrooms, suites, seating areas, meeting rooms, entrances, and common spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors and surfaces. Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, partitions, and fixtures. Restock restroom supplies including soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and sanitizer dispensers. Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other cleaning emergencies. Collect and dispose of trash, debris, and recyclable materials throughout the venue. Maintain cleanliness during events by continuously monitoring assigned areas. Follow all safety procedures regarding chemical handling and equipment operation. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or facility concerns to supervisors. Work cooperatively with supervisors, venue staff, security personnel, and fellow team members. Perform post-event cleaning to return the facility to operational standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, and flexible schedules based on event needs. Ability to pass all required background screenings and venue credentialing requirements. Preferred Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, environmental services, or facility maintenance experience. Experience working in stadiums, arenas, convention centers, schools, hospitals, hotels, or commercial facilities. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation practices. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Work Environment Work is performed in indoor and outdoor event venues. Employees may be exposed to large crowds, loud noise levels, varying temperatures, and changing weather conditions. Work may be performed before, during, or after events, including overnight shifts. Environment may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, debris, food waste, and bodily fluids. Fast-paced environment requiring frequent movement throughout large facilities. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to stand and walk continuously for extended periods, often 6-12 hours per shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb stairs, and reach overhead frequently. Ability to push loaded trash carts, cleaning equipment, and supply carts. Ability to work in confined spaces such as restroom stalls and storage areas. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions throughout the shift. Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions and cleaning procedures. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to safety hazards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to changing assignments and event schedules. Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with guests and venue personnel.
