Part-Time Maintenance/Porter

Community Director The purpose of this job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the position of Part-Time Maintenance/Porter. Job Description:
This position will be responsible for providing maintenance and porter duties as directed by the Community Director, including: changing air filters, light bulbs, appliance repairs, grounds cleaning, light plumbing, light electrical, sheetrock repair and painting among other things. Every task should be completed professionally while fostering a strong sense of connection within the community. Below are general key responsibilities and qualifications, as well as a timeline for expected duties.
General Responsibilities & Guidelines:
- Provide timely feedback to the Community Director and complete tasks as assigned
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the maintenance program
- Keep records and detailed log of maintenance requests and repairs
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors
- Respond timely to emergency calls during off hours
- Personal use of cell phones, including headphones, ear buds, etc., limited to urgent/emergency situations only
- Must be punctual and work assigned hours (i.e., arrive on time; leave on time)
- Maintain professional appearance and dress appropriately Qualifications The position requires maintenance experience and appropriate experience and expertise in light repair services.
Working Environment Indoors and outdoors - all conditions. Intellectual Capacity HIGH. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to evaluate appropriate courses of action. Must effectively convey recommendations and solutions to a variety of maintenance items
