Automotive Sales Porter DeMontrond Chevrolet, Hyundai, Mitsubishi Texas City Full-Time | Five-Day Workweek | Closed Sundays Join the DeMontrond Texas City Team DeMontrond Chevrolet, Hyundai, Mitsubishi Texas City is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Porter to support our new and pre-owned vehicle operations. This is an important, hands-on position responsible for keeping our inventory organized, properly checked in, accurately keyed, and ready for our sales team and customers. The right candidate will work with urgency, communicate consistently with management, and take pride in maintaining an organized and professional sales lot. Prior automotive dealership porter experience is required. Schedule Full-time position Five-day workweek Closed every Sunday Occasional Saturdays may be required Overtime may be available when needed and must be approved in advance Responsibilities Move, stage, and organize new and pre-owned vehicle inventory Maintain an orderly, professional, and customer-ready sales lot Help sales professionals locate and stage vehicles for demonstrations, test drives, and customer deliveries Fuel vehicles as needed Install temporary tags and license plates when required Check in new vehicles delivered from the factory Check in pre-owned vehicles delivered from auctions or other sources Verify delivered vehicles and promptly report missing vehicles, damage, incorrect information, or other discrepancies Tag vehicle keys and program them into the dealership's electronic key-management system Maintain accurate organization and control of vehicle keys Transport vehicles to service departments, body shops, or other dealerships when needed Make occasional document runs to the DeMontrond home office Check in regularly with the Sales Manager and General Manager throughout the day Communicate inventory, vehicle location, key, and lot-related issues to management Handle every customer and dealership vehicle carefully and professionally Assist the sales department with additional inventory and lot duties as assigned Qualifications Previous automotive dealership porter experience is required Must be at least 25 years old due to dealership vehicle-driving requirements Valid driver's license is required Acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate vehicles with care and attention Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work with urgency while completing assignments accurately Dependable, punctual, and able to manage daily responsibilities with limited supervision Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to check in with management throughout the workday Valet, detailing, or automotive inventory experience is helpful but not required Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in Houston heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the dealership property during the workday Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid vacation Employee vehicle purchase program Five-day workweek Sundays off Opportunities for advancement within the DeMontrond organization Advancement Opportunities This position can provide a pathway to additional career opportunities within dealership sales, service, inventory management, and other departments for employees who demonstrate reliability, strong performance, teamwork, and leadership potential.
