Janitor/Custodian

Overview The Janitor/Custodian will ensure our facility is clean and orderly for guests and employees and presents an acceptable impression of our clean energy industry. Responsibilities Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, Collect and take out all trash on a daily basis. Check stock of cleaning supplies and notify manager of anything that needs to be ordered.

Clean:

Production floor bathrooms and break area, daily Admin offices, bathrooms, and breakrooms, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Sales offices, bathrooms, and breakrooms, Tuesday and Wednesday Clean windows and doors as needed. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as minor wall repairs, building furniture, restroom repairs, etc Serve as liaison with building/facilities services such as repair contractors and fire prevention service contractors. Required Education/Experience High school diploma required. Minimum 1 year of experience as a professional housekeeper/janitor/custodian. Fluency in English. Competencies Ability to complete tasks with minimal to no supervision. Physical ability to complete tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, manipulating, and standing for long periods of time. Efficient, reliable, detail oriented, and a fast worker. Work Environment The work environment for the position includes offices and workshop production floor. Physical Demands The physical demands of the position include walking, standing, and reaching, on a regular basis; ability to visually detect cleaning needs above and below, lifting objects from one level to another; seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands; ability to hear warning sounds such as back up alerts on machinery in order to avoid injury.
