Job Description

Porter/Make Ready Tech — Join a Team That Takes Pride in Every Detail The Stellar Family | Communities Division Make Your Mark on a Community That People Are Proud to Call Home At The Stellar Family, we don't just manage apartment communities — we create places where people thrive. As a purpose-driven real estate firm with deep roots in Investment, Development, Construction, and Management, we believe that great communities start with great people. And great communities start at ground level — with someone who takes pride in every corner, every courtyard, and every common space. That's where you come in. We're looking for a Porter/Make Ready Tech who brings energy, ownership, and an eye for detail to our residential communities. If you're someone who finds satisfaction in a job well done — who notices what others overlook and takes pride in making spaces shine — this role was made for you. What You'll Do You'll be the heartbeat of the property's appearance, ensuring that residents and visitors always experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Your day-to-day will include:
Keeping all common areas spotless — lobbies, hallways, clubhouses, fitness centers, restrooms, laundry rooms, and leasing offices Maintaining beautiful, litter-free grounds including parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaping Performing light maintenance tasks like bulb replacements, paint touch-ups, and flagging issues before they become problems Supporting the maintenance team with work orders and emergency needs Setting up and cleaning up for resident events and property functions Helping prepare vacant units so new residents walk into something they love from day one Monitoring and restocking supplies to keep everything running smoothly Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy in accordance with company standards and move-in deadlines. Complete make-ready checklists thoroughly and accurately. Remove trash and debris from apartments and surrounding areas. Perform light carpentry, drywall repairs, painting, and touch-up work. Replace or repair damaged fixtures, blinds, doors, hardware, and flooring as needed. Ensure all appliances are clean, operational, and in good condition. What You Bring Experience in custodial, janitorial, or groundskeeping work (preferred, but your attitude matters most) Pride in your work and a sharp eye for cleanliness and detail Physical stamina — this is an active, hands-on role with lifting up to 50 lbs, outdoor work in various conditions, and plenty of movement throughout the day A team-first mindset and great communication skills Comfort following safety protocols and instructions Valid driver's license (may be required based on property needs) Why The Stellar Family? We live by four core values: Integrity, Attitude, Excellence, and Growth. That means we invest in our people just as intentionally as we invest in our properties. When you join our team, you join a family that's committed to helping you grow.
Our mission says it all:
