Janitorial /Night Staff

PART TIME POSITION OVERNIGHT MUST PASS STATE BACKGROUND CHECK DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide night supervision for clients. Maintain safety and security of shelter clients and property reporting concerns to Executive Director as soon as a situation arises. Ensure that the building is closed and safe at night. Follow and enforce FPO's policies/procedures and client's rules. Wake clients daily at 5:30 am and direct them into having breakfast, cleaning their rooms and getting ready for room checks.

JANITORIAL DUTIES

> Maintain the cleanliness of the night shelter performing janitorial duties as directed on the night staff procedure guideline. Employee schedule must be flexible to cover other employees' vacation or sickness. Night staff schedule will be 10 pm

• 7 am Wednesday Night and Saturday 5pm
• 8 am. If shift falls on a holiday 5 pm
• 8 am with changes made by the director as needed.

Document safety incidents immediately and report to the Executive Director. Fill and incident report. Provide the ED with the nightly report via email. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

Must be able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis without assistance
• Ability to walk, or descend stairs, kneel, bend and twist.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries while working with clients.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced, and growth-oriented environment while maintaining a positive solution-oriented and client-centered approach.
• Experience in crisis intervention and problem solving with the ability to diffusing situations without heightening the conflict.
