Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to perform cleaning duties at a busy daycare facility after regular operating hours. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the daycare space during evening hours. This position offers consistent part-time work with a focus on thorough cleaning practices to uphold high standards of health and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of classrooms, play areas, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces after 6pm Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors to ensure they are spotless and safe for children and staff Disinfect surfaces, toys, furniture, and high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas following proper procedures Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues or damages to management Use janitorial equipment such as floor buffers and cleaning machines effectively and safely Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for everyone in the facility Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices related to cleaning and sanitation standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness in a childcare environment This role is perfect for someone passionate about creating clean, safe spaces that support the well-being of children.
