Cleaning Technician

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing to restore shine and cleanliness. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt buildup. Maintain high standards of janitorial service by sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and high-touch surfaces regularly. Operate environmental services equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, extractors, and cleaning carts efficiently. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations. Restock supplies like paper products, soap dispensers, and other consumables as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and ongoing facility integrity. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is highly desirable. Experience with carpet cleaning methods such as hot water extraction or steam cleaning is a plus. Knowledge of environmental services practices that promote sustainability and eco-friendly cleaning solutions is advantageous. Ability to work independently with attention to detail while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
