Job Description
I am looking for a backup cleaner to clean and reset beds/towels in my apartments rented for short-term guests. This would be a backup to my primary cleaner, for when he's out of town or taking days off or when there are multiple cleans in a day. I have several properties around Charlottesville, as well as one in Free Union VA (about 20 mins from CVille). You would need to be available to do this most days between 11am-3pm. The more availability during this time period, the better. I am looking for somebody reliable and trustworthy to come clean and change bed sheets/towels between guests stays. You would need to come by between 11am - 2pm on specific days. The cleanings must be done by 3pm. This includes changing the sheets, laundering the sheets/towels/duvet cover, vacuuming, sweeping, wiping all surfaces, occasionally doing some dishes, general cleaning. Occasionally some various duties, like bringing in and opening Amazon boxes of supplies. Backup cleaner would do around 4-12 cleanings per month. Flexibility and availability are important, as I often get last-minute requests. There is room for growth as we are adding properties, so you could get many more cleans after proving yourself over time. I will pay $40-100 per cleaning. More pay per cleaning for pets, long stays, high guest counts, bigger places. Smaller 2 BR places pay $40-45 base per clean (plus more for pets, high guest count, longer stays). Bigger places pay $60-100 base per clean depending on guest count plus more for pets, longer stays. A normal smaller place cleaning takes an hour and 15 minutes on average depending how clean the guests left it (more often than not they leave it very clean) and how fast you are. Bigger places depending on guest may take 2-3.5 hrs average. This would be a good job for students or retirees or part-time employees or full-time freelance cleaners looking for some extra cash.
