Job Description

Overview Shift Hours:
6:30 am to 3:00 pm Provides preventive cleaning services for Federal Agency in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. This position is responsible and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.
Essential Competencies:
Action Oriented Directing Others Functional/Technical Skills Listening Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Aids in the supervision of all cleaning functions in assigned buildings/areas and shifts with daily follow-up. 2. Participates in all areas of custodial responsibilities. 3. Performs daily physical and written inspections in the zone areas for restrooms and locker rooms. 4. Relays instructions from supervisor/manager. •This position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of up to 40 pounds. Prolonged walking and standing are required as well as frequent bending, reaching and stooping.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures that equipment and supplies are maintained in clean and working condition. 2. Responsible for monitoring inventory.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Ability to read, write and comprehend English. 3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 4. Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger. 5. Skilled in the knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment. 6. Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned work site. 7. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. One to two years previous custodial experience. 2. Graduate of GGW's custodial training program.
