PT Limpiador de Oficina (Mon-Fri, 5PM-10PM) Reston, VA General Description of the
Position:
The Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the common areas of assigned sites. Duties include general maintenance, such as power washing, window cleaning, trash collection, and routine cleaning tasks. The cleaner also supports event preparation and cleaning as needed and responds to cleaning concerns as they arise. The position requires responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work professionally and courteously with property staff, residents, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Ensures all common areas, including sidewalks, lobbies, bathrooms, and public spaces, are kept clean and presentable. Completes daily cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager, Cleaning. Performs power washing in assigned areas as directed by management. Arrives at the assigned location wearing the approved ParkX Porter uniform. Arrives at the assigned location before the start of the work shift. Ensures compliance with all safety standards and cleaning benchmarks. Maintains a professional and courteous attitude with all site visitors. Recognizes, greets, and interacts professionally with property staff and guests, following the corresponding protocols. Supports management teams with special cleaning or maintenance requests when necessary. Keeps the cleaning room and storage areas tidy, clean, and free of debris and hazards at all times. Completes all required documentation at the end of the shift and ensures a proper transfer of responsibilities to the next shift. Assists with the preparation and dismantling of public events or meetings when required. Monitors the inventory of cleaning supplies and ensures the safe and appropriate use of cleaning chemicals. Notifies management of any situations requiring their attention. Follows all cleaning schedules and checklists accurately. Understands and adheres to the company's cleaning procedures and schedules. Documents and reports any safety risks, maintenance issues, or damage. Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment following established standards and procedures. Attends team meetings that impact cleaning operations. Completes maintenance or cleaning tasks according to the company's maintenance checklists. Covers shifts for colleagues during their absences when needed. Attends and resolves cleaning concerns in a timely manner with first-class service, in accordance with the established guidelines by the ParkX Executive Management Team. Maintains equipment in good condition through regular maintenance and preventive care. Reports any equipment damage to management. Is available to work weekends and outside regular hours, especially during events or high activity periods. Understands and promotes the company's corporate objectives, core values, and departmental responsibilities as described in the company's organizational chart and Employee Manual. Understands and complies with ParkX policies on absences, time off, and punctuality. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license, no major infractions Flexibility to work outside regular hours and weekends during events Outgoing personality with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people and create/maintain strong relationships Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills Must be highly reliable and trustworthy, acting with a high degree of integrity Ability to hold oneself and others accountable, striving for a high level of excellence Positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to drive growth and innovation Customer-focused and results-oriented Desire to learn and develop continuously Exceptional oral communication, active listening, and organizational skills Ability to build strong working relationships in a team environment Ability to multitask and prioritize, with great attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform walking, climbing stairs, maintaining balance, bending, kneeling, crouching, stretching, twisting, and/or reaching Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds Continuous repetitive motions Work under variable temperature conditions (including extreme heat or cold), with varying noise levels, outdoors and indoors, around vapors and/or hazards, dust and/or mites, and exposure to chemicals and biological risks
