Full-Time (may include evenings or occasional weekends for special events) Position Overview Lyndon Institute is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Custodian performs routine cleaning, minor maintenance, and assists with building setup for school activities and events. Key Responsibilities Clean classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors Empty trash and recycling containers Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies Perform minor maintenance tasks and report repair needs Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, equipment) Help maintain safe building access, including snow removal and salting when needed Follow safety procedures and properly handle cleaning supplies and equipment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous custodial or maintenance experience is a plus Ability to work independently and follow instructions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing Benefits Competitive pay HealthDentalVision benefits Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan
