Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of pre-operational procedures by establishing and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout all Truvant's facilities. This is accomplished by following sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and work instructions. While working in production, personnel are responsible for inspection, packaging and palletizing products to Truvant and customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily cleaning and sanitizing of production rooms, pack-off areas, and packaging equipment Cleaning and sanitizing of any other areas assigned by the sanitation supervisor. Disassembling and assembling of equipment and production lines. Operate a floor buffer and scrubber. Fill out required sanitation pre-operational reports. Complete all required paperwork that applies to specified areas and products Understand palletization of each product Identify defects in packages/pouches Operate a pallet jack Other duties as assigned Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
No previous experience required On the job training provided
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures Ability to pay close attention to detail Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers Must be able to reach, touch, grasp. Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to Climb, Stoop/Kneel, Lift, Pull and Push. Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor. Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
Level of Physical Requirements:
Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds.
