Job Description
DeForest Area School District is located just ten miles northeast of Madison in Dane County. We offer outstanding facilities and a competitive salary and benefits package. A Full-time position is available working 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm, this position will float throughout the district. Multilanguage applicants encouraged to apply. Duties include a variety of cleaning tasks including to vacuum, sweep, mop, strip, wax and finish floors; clean carpets; empty trash; scour and sanitize restroom facilities, sinks and water fountains; snow removal; unload equipment, supplies and materials; set-up for activities and athletic events; check building and grounds for safely hazards; and monitor and maintain tools and building equipment condition; performs minor repairs; answers alarms and performs weekend security and event work. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent; ability to read and follow directions and instructions; ability to work under minimal supervision, and to relate to people. A valid driver's license is required. Physical abilities include lifting/moving, bending, stooping, climbing and reaching. Previous experience in a school or commercial setting is desired.
