The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and self-motivated, possess the ability to maintain a neat and clean building, and work well independently.
Work Schedule:
Monday
- Thursday, 4:00 p.m.
- 7:30 p.m. and Friday, 11:00 a.m.
- 2:00 p.
m. (17 hours per week).

Dusts woodwork, furniture, windowsills, room dividers, file cabinets, counters, and other fixtures. Cleans glass doors, marble surfaces, light switches, and mirrors. Cleans elevators including washing walls and floors. Cleans and polishes furniture. Dry and wet mops office floors, stairs, landings, hallways, and rest rooms. Assists with wet mopping during scrubbing floor for waxing. Vacuums carpeting and sweeps floors. Scrubs drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, and urinals. Washes windows, walls, and waste containers. Washes rest room stalls and walls. Replenishes rest rooms supplies. Closes windows, turns out lights, and locks office doors. Reports needed repairs, lights out, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience cleaning office buildings preferred. A combination of equivalent experience and/or education may be considered. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Some knowledge of cleaning methods, material, equipment, and procedures required for the cleaning of buildings and facilities. Some knowledge of safety measures involved in handling and using hazardous materials used. Some skill in using a variety of cleaning tools, equipment, and materials. Some skill in performing routine manual cleaning tasks. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and the public. Ability to work the required hours of the position. May be required to demonstrate minimum competency by successfully passing approved tests. Physical Requirements Ability to perform the following activities: Lifting and carrying up to 10-20 pounds.
