Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Janitor/Cleaner, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our environment spotless, safe, and welcoming. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. Your dedication will ensure that our spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and visually appealing, supporting a positive experience for everyone who enters. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal in compliance with safety regulations Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury Maintain industrial cleaning standards by using specialized tools for floor care and buffing to achieve a polished finish Execute custodial duties across various facilities including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and sanitation of high-touch areas Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel Support facilities upkeep through residential painting or other light maintenance activities as needed Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within commercial or industrial environments Skilled in handling chemical agents safely with knowledge of proper usage and disposal procedures Familiarity with floor buffers, buffing techniques, and comprehensive floor care methods Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to ergonomic practices Strong understanding of custodial procedures and industrial cleaning standards Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs or painting is a plus Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail and safety consciousness Embark on a role where your efforts directly contribute to a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
