Part-Time Van Driver for
Food Service Title:
PART-TIME VAN DRIVER
- Food Service Delivery Salary Range $19.00 Commensurate with experience
Hours:
14.50 - 29.00 Hours per week

Description:
Warehouse tasks and delivery of food and supplies to various schools within the District. Requires focus on safety and efficiency in all aspects of the job. Must be outgoing and pleasant with students and staff.
Qualification:
1. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license with a positive driving record; employee's driving record is subject to the approval of the insurance company. CDL may be required. 2. Ability to read and comprehend instructions required. 3. Ability to work without immediate supervision. 4. Ability to plan, schedule and establish priorities in emergencies. 5. Diligent in meeting deadlines and keeping commitments. 6. Ability to work and communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, other school staff, parents, students and vendors. 7. Versatility to adapt to changes in job duties. 8. Demonstrates ability to perform basic math skills. 9. Ability to plan and schedule cleaning and maintenance projects. 10. Ability to perform general cleaning, maintenance work, warehouse receiving and inventory control. 11. Working knowledge of materials, equipment and methods commonly used in general cleaning and maintenance work preferred. 12. Ability to work/relate with staff, students and public. 13. Physical ability to do sustained lifting of 50 lbs. 14. Able to stand/walk for prolonged periods. 15. High School Diploma or GED required.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Timely delivery of food supplies to satellite kitchens throughout the District. 2. Maintains high standards of sanitation, safety and efficiency. 3. Restocks, rotates and dates food products, maintaining proper inventory control. Gives daily assistance with products needed by food service staff members. 4. Receives and checks in food and supplies in central kitchen as needed. 5. Cleans all assigned areas in central kitchen using proper methods and equipment. 6. Responsible for some annual cleaning/sanitizing tasks in central kitchen, high school serving kitchen and related storage areas. 7. Keeps all central kitchen equipment, including boiler, in good operating condition, e.g. lubricating, sharpening, adjusting and minor repairs as assigned. 8. Performs routine preventive maintenance, cleaning and repairs in central kitchen. 9. Responsible for timely delivery of inter-school mail/correspondence, instructional equipment, consumable instructional supplies, and custodial supplies. 10. Responsible for minor maintenance and weekly cleaning of delivery vehicles and timely written reporting of major maintenance problems. 11. Assists in keeping dock area neat and clean at all times. 12. Communicates effectively with supervisor, co-workers, other school staff, parents, students and vendors. 13. Accepts and implements instructions in a positive, cooperative manner. 14. Uses computer software as assigned. 15. Reports work-related accidents in a timely manner. 16. Neat and professional appearance and behavior. 17. Keeps up to date on job related skills by attending inservice training sessions. 18. Collects and disposes of all waste in central kitchen, including recyclable items. 19. All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Demands:
1. Standing and walking most of work day. 2. Reaching, carrying, pushing, bending and handling items weighing up to 50 lbs. When performing job duties. (A two-person lift is required for loads in excess of 50 lbs.)

To make safe and efficient deliveries of food and supplies throughout the District and to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment in the high school.
