Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Custodial Technician at Jackson's Food Company ensures the effective sanitation of the facility, adhering to established food manufacturing regulations and government sanitation requirements. Responsibilities include performing plant cleaning as directed by the Sanitation Lead, maintaining overall housekeeping in all plant and office areas. The technician follows instructions for safe lifting, reports defective equipment promptly, and complies with all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) specific to their assigned area. Active participation in safety training, team development programs, and plant initiatives is a key aspect of the role. The Custodial Technician contributes to upholding a hygienic and safe environment, supporting the company's commitment to delivering high-quality food products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs. Ensures the facilities are effectively sanitized in accordance with established food manufacturing regulations and in compliance with government sanitation requirements. Performs plant cleaning as prescribed by the Sanitation Lead. Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of plant. Utilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors, and various non-mechanized equipment. Follows instructions for safe lifting and carrying various sizes, shapes, and weight of objects; identifies/reports defective equipment; reports all job-related injuries to management. Follows all applicable GMP's for the area in which he/she is assigned. Participates in all necessary safety training, team development programs, and plant initiatives.

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three months experience and/or training in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a food/beverage or dietary supplements and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience
