,dependingdependentthe the dependentaccommodatethe gymnasiumJob Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian Maintenance professional to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a pristine environment through comprehensive cleaning and custodial tasks, supporting the smooth operation of our workspace. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to creating a welcoming, safe, and efficient environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Set up and tear down of indoor sports events, school performances, and other use of the gymnasism. Requires the ability to adjust hours to accomidate school evening events with option to flex time on that given week dependant on school scheduled activities. Manage industrial cleaning tasks including the use of specialized equipment for heavy-duty cleaning projects. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock supplies as needed to ensure continuous cleanliness. Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep to uphold facility standards. Ensure health and safety protocols are followed during all cleaning and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and address urgent cleaning or maintenance needs promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and methods preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Familiarity with residential painting or basic facilities maintenance is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
