Custodian

First Shift, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. M -

F Position Description :

This position is responsible for performing general laborer duties within the plant (i.e., empty garbage, sweep floors, stock shelves, etc.). Assist others for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. Operate company vehicle, forklifts, aerial lifts, electric walk-behind sweeper, and various hand tools. The ability to work well with others is a must. A steady hand, natural motivation, positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail are recommended.

Responsibilities :

Perform general job tasks including stock shelves, paper towel dispensers, and toilet paper; sweep and clean floors, and shovel snow and apply salt to slippery walking surfaces. This position requires driving a company vehicle to local stores for supplies. Assist supervisors and leads for the purpose of completing projects, on time, with no defects. Maintain and repair equipment and perform daily housekeeping. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing personal protective equipment where needed. Monitor equipment for signs of wear or malfunction. Perform all other duties assigned.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Good driving record. Driver's license class

B, C & D.

Outstanding attention to detail. Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Time management skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to work in a team environment and/or on an individual basis. Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment.
