Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are upheld. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive space for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using commercial cleaning equipment and techniques. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance. Handle janitorial responsibilities including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and restocking supplies. Assist with custodial maintenance tasks like minor repairs and ensuring facilities are in optimal condition. Support industrial or specialized cleaning projects as needed, including high-touch surface sanitation and deep cleaning procedures. Maintain cleanliness standards by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate cleaning chemicals. Collaborate with facilities management to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment such as buffers and extractors. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting heavy supplies, standing for long periods, and climbing ladders if necessary.
