Custodian

SUMMARY:
The custodian associate is responsible for maintaining overall cleanliness standards and appearance of all common areas and parking lot at Outlets at The Dells, according to certificate training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains all common areas of the center - including common area walkways and fixtures, mullions, public restrooms, etc. to the standards set by the company for cleanliness and appearance (removing gum, stains, cigarette butts, paper and debris from the ground) Ensures custodial carts are fully stocked and the beginning of each shift Attends to restroom cleanliness on a rotation schedule to maintain safety Supports the maintenance staff as directed by the Operations Manager and the General Manager Performs all duties according to OSHA established health and safety standards Assists customers as appropriate by always maintaining a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude Maintains working knowledge of all safety procedures established for the Center Maintains a safe and clean work area in all custodial storage areas Ensures complete working knowledge and familiarity of all Center Emergency procedures Performs special projects or other duties as assigned
- Ensure common areas are clean by emptying trash, washing windows, cleaning doors, floors and spills
NOTE:
If the Cener has a food court or food tenants, additional duties may include:
- Maintain general cleanliness of the common area dining areas
- Sanitize all tables and chairs, maintain the proper placement of all tables and chairs in common areas
- Collect food waste and dispose as necessary
- Maintain the proper placement of food court advertising materials
- Assist customers with questions
- Ensures common area dining locations are clean by emptying trash, washing windows, cleaning doors, floors and spills PHYSICAL and/or
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

- Occasional pushing, pulling lifting, twisting, or carrying products at waist level, weighing up to 50 pounds
- Constant standing and/or walking for a period of up to 4 hours/day/shift
- Frequent use of hands and reaching above should levels or below waist
- Frequent stopping, bending at the waist, kneeling
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative
- Requires good organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, good teamwork skills, and openness to new ideas, procedures, and training
- Ability to work well on a team in an efficient, thorough, and timely manner
- Ability to climb a step stool
