Salary based on experience and education level per TCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. Responsible for keeping the school buildings and grounds clean, operate the heating and cooling systems, make minor repairs, and to the best of his/her ability maintanin an attractive, safe facility.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/INDICATORS

Inspect building upon arrival for evidence of vandalism and malfunction of equipment Unlock all necessary exit doors at the beginning of the school day and lock them to secure the building at the end of the day Clean both the internal and eternal building areas so as to alleviate dust, dirt, trash and other debris Arrange furniture in classrooms and offices in a neat arrangement and satisfactory to the teachers Adjust heating, lights, and ventilation in the building Clean and disinfect toilets, water fountains, and shower rooms daily and more frequently if needed to maintain sanitary conditions Maintain a program of minor maintenance to the extent that time and ability will allow Report needed building repairs as well as items of a preventive maintenance nature to the Head Custodian Remove snow and ice from walkways, steps, and other access areas to the building Scrub and wax floors in accordance with the schedule established by the principal and Head Custodian Wash windows both inside and outside Help set up and clean up after all activities in and outside the school Clean of the press boxes, restrooms and outside athletic facilities used by the middle school Assist in cleaning of the press boxes, restrooms and outside athletic facilities Assist in changing lights and replacing ceiling tiles Sweep and spot mop classrooms Run scrubber in classroom and buff hallways Dust and clean trophy cases Assist with ball games as needed Preform other such tasks and assume other responsibilities as the superintendent or immediate supervisor may assign Additional information concerning the above listed position can be obtained from the Superintendent's Office.
