Orange Beach City Schools Job Title:

Child Nutrition Program Worker Reports to: CNP Manager or designee

Job Goal:

To assist in the safety and quality operation of the Child Nutrition Program (CNP)

Qualifications:

Holds a high school diploma or equivalent Holds or able to obtain ServSafe certification Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficiency in oral and written communication skills Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board might find appropriate and acceptable

Performance Responsibilities:

Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, mission, goals, and priorities Assists in daily meal preparation and serving Knows daily menu requirements Follows daily food preparation schedule and recipes Serves prescribed portions of food Maintains a clean serving line Follows food serving/storage guidelines including temperature requirements and maintenance of records Follows high standards of grooming, safety, and effective work habits required of CNP employees Demonstrates ability to use technology to communicate, manage data, and produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or school information Maintains standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room areas of the school Responds to requests quickly with a professional and courteous attitude Assists in developing and maintaining a welcoming and positive climate in the cafeteria Maintains ethical standards and confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters in accordance with state and federal law Demonstrates physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities and essential functions Properly uses and cares for equipment and material resources of the school system Supports and complies with school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local regulations Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor(s)

Terms of Employment/Salary:

9 months (185 Days), 7.5-Hours / Non-Exempt / To be determined, commensurate with local salary matrix and experience.
