This role involves supporting food preparation, cooking, and food service operations in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist in menu planning and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and standards Prepare ingredients and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring quality and presentation Handle food safely, following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards Support food service operations, including serving meals and managing catering requests Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils throughout shifts Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Support team members in daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth workflow Skills Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly Familiarity with menu planning and food industry standards Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation protocols Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Basic understanding of food service operations and customer service principles This role is essential for ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment.
