Job Description
The Daily Beet is looking for a new team member. The job consists of counter service, preparing smoothies, acai bowls, and various health food products. We also are looking to cross train most team members. BOH duties will involve preparing salads, grain bowls, and breakfast items. Ideal candidates are team oriented, possess great customer service skills, and familiar with health food.
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver food and beverages to tables
- Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions
- Process payments using our Aloha POS system
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
- Upsell menu items and promote special promotions or events
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional hospitality
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Knowledge of food handling safety guidelines and practices
