JOB GOAL
The Child Nutrition Assistant Senior is responsible for food preparation, cooking, cashiering, and reconciliation of cash drawers and assists in other areas such as serving and clean-up as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Food Handler's Certificate Previous experience handling money desired Experience in food preparation desired Ability to read and execute written recipes and cook food in large quantities Ability to keep accurate records Ability to operate a computerized cash register Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment Knowledge of HACCP and workplace safety requirements Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time Ability to work with figures and to make arithmetic calculations Ability to communicate with parents, staff, and students on the Child Nutrition program Must be able to read, write, and speak English High School diploma or GED preferred Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules Must pass a background clearance. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Child Nutrition Cafeteria Manager HOURS:
30 hours - Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-1 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION
Hourly, Non-exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, and the community. Maintain appropriate change funds for registers. Perform cashiering and end-of-day procedures. Monitor lunch/breakfast sales to ensure guidelines/federal regulations are met. Ensure product quality by visual inspection to maintain customer satisfaction. Assist in keeping student status in the computer system accurate. Assist in training new employees and student workers on cashiering procedures and guidelines. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assists with the daily cleaning of all kitchen and equipment to ensure cleanliness and to ensure sanitary conditions are met. Precisely measure and portion ingredients according to recipes. Prepare and cook various items using different methods. Assist in food preparation and clean up. Assist with stocking and replenishing of supplies. May be assigned manager duties when a manager is absent. Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
