We are hiring a full-time Kitchen Lead / Kitchen Manager to help lead our opening kitchen team. Our kitchen uses Rational iCombi Pro ovens only . No fryers, no grills, and no traditional grease-heavy line. We are looking for someone organized, dependable, and hands-on who can help keep the kitchen clean, consistent, and efficient.
Position Details Pay:
$25-$32 per hour, depending on experience

Tuesday-Sunday, closed
Mondays Availability:
Nights, weekends, and holidays required
Location:
Fremont, CA Responsibilities Lead daily kitchen operations during prep, service, and closing Train line cooks on recipes, prep, plating, cleaning, and food safety Set up and maintain prep lists, par levels, and station checklists Make sure food is cooked and plated to spec Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service Manage ticket flow during busy periods Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste Oversee labeling, dating, FIFO, temperature logs, and sanitation procedures Help with inventory, ordering, receiving, and product organization Make sure opening and closing duties are completed properly Communicate clearly with ownership, management, and the kitchen team Hold team members accountable in a professional way Requirements Previous kitchen leadership experience required Able to lead a small team in a fast-paced kitchen Strong understanding of kitchen cleanliness, prep, food safety, and organization Able to stay calm and make decisions during a rush Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable training cooks and correcting mistakes professionally Food Handler Card required, or ability to obtain before starting Food Safety Manager Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain Must be 18+ Able to stand for long periods, work in heat, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks Preferred Experience 2+ years of kitchen experience 1+ year as a kitchen lead, supervisor, sous chef, kitchen manager, or similar role Experience with Rational iCombi Pro or similar equipment Experience creating prep lists, pars, cleaning systems, and checklists Experience opening a new restaurant, bar kitchen, or high-volume kitchen is a plus Ideal Candidate You work fast, stay organized, keep your station clean, and communicate well. You can lead by example, train cooks properly, stay calm during a rush, and make sure the kitchen is ready for the next shift. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
