Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Helper/dishwasher where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming and efficient kitchen environment. In this vital role, you will support food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and assist with meal service to deliver delicious experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients to streamline kitchen operations. Support cooking activities by preparing simple dishes under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces, following food safety guidelines. Handle food items properly during storage, transfer, and serving to prevent contamination and waste. Assist with meal assembly and plating during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders. Support catering events by setting up serving stations and replenishing food as needed. Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, food handling, and equipment use to promote a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment will help you adapt quickly to the demands of the role. Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods is beneficial. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential for maintaining health regulations. Culinary experience or background in the food industry demonstrates your passion for quality cuisine and teamwork. Strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities will enable you to contribute effectively during busy periods. A positive attitude towards learning new skills in catering, serving, and kitchen operations is highly valued.
