Our shop is inspired by a classic fairytale about a mystical deer that appears only to the kind-hearted, leaving behind vibrant gemstones wherever it steps. Because we believe true hospitality starts with taking care of our team first, we offer a guaranteed, premium wage—so you never have to stress about unpredictable tips!

The Role:

We are hiring Soft-Serve Artists who have an eye for detail and love the hustle of a busy restaurant. At Silver Hoof Creamery, we don't just serve ice cream; we craft beautiful, custom treats that make our guests say 'WOW!' If you take pride in creating gorgeous food, love keeping a workspace spotless, and thrive in a fun, spirited team environment, we want to meet you. We are a small, family-run business that skips the rigid corporate bureaucracy and frustrating red tape of 'the big guys' so we can focus entirely on what matters: our people, our products and our guests.

15-20 hours a week (can increase for the right fit). No early mornings or late nights. We are happy to work with you on a set or flexible schedule.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

Previous restaurant or ice cream shop experience is mandatory (we want you to hit the ground running!).

Creative Artistry:

An eye for detail and steady hands are essential! You will be precisely decorating, garnishing, and styling premium treats to match our high visual standards so every order makes our guests say 'WOW!'

Team Players:

A true 'whatever it takes' mentality. Willing to jump in and do it all—taking orders, operating the POS system, crafting sundaes, stocking shelves, and keeping the parlor pristine.

Other Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older to safely operate commercial kitchen machinery. Must possess or be willing to obtain a California Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire. Strong customer service skills, with a proven ability to speak warmly, positively, and professionally with guests and coworkers under pressure. Must have reliable transportation and a proven track record of strict punctuality and adherence to scheduled shifts. Absolute availability for weekend and holiday shifts. Ability to stand for the duration of a 4-to-8 hour shift, safely bend and reach, and repeatedly lift up to 30 lbs (soft-serve mix and supplies are heavy!). Strict adherence to all food safety, kitchen sanitation, and deep-cleaning protocols (including sweeping, mopping, washing utensils, and cleaning guest areas).
