In this energetic role, you'll support the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are upheld, and helping maintain an organized and efficient kitchen environment. Your dedication will help deliver delicious meals that delight our guests and uphold our commitment to quality. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary expertise and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced food industry setting. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes Support cooking processes by following recipes and instructions from head chefs or kitchen supervisors Help with food handling procedures to ensure cleanliness, proper storage, and adherence to food safety standards Contribute to menu planning discussions by providing input based on ingredient availability and kitchen needs Maintain a clean and organized work station, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Support catering events or large meal services by preparing ingredients and assisting with serving as needed Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for everyone in the kitchen Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards is essential Experience in menu planning or meal preparation enhances your ability to contribute effectively Knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food industry practices is advantageous Prior work in catering or food service environments demonstrates your ability to thrive in busy settings Strong understanding of kitchen operations and the importance of teamwork in delivering quality meals Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
